Clownfish af Allison Gray
This design represents a shoal of fish. I used the distinctive colours of a clown fish because most people recognise them easily and they are also visually appealing. The design has elements that point in the direction of left and right, this captures the movement and change in direction of groups of fish as they swim. The segmented pattern also portrays individual fish and scale pattern.
Om Allison Gray
British designer and illustrator based in Singapore.
My main focus is on shape and movement. I try to capture motion and different views of one subject matter. Bold use of colour and pattern play an important part in my designs. My work is often referred to as abstract, but I think it is vital to include instantly recognisable shapes and/or colours into a design so that the viewer/customer can understand the concept behind it. Instead of just being a pattern it may evoke memories or the content may be something of interest to them. This makes the designs more appealing.
